Borka Tools PTL (Precision Torque Limiter) is based on the proven design of compact industrial torque limiting device, which is calibrated in accordance with ISO-6789 procedure. PTL dimensions are 0.87"(O.D.) x 3" (Length) and the weight is 3.5 ounces.

PTL design incorporates an adjustment screw, which is utilized for precise calibration to the desired torque limiting value. This design feature gives Borka PTL an important advantage in accuracy in comparison to other torque limiters in the same price range. PTL is preset by the manufacturer to specific torque value, and is not user adjustable.

By design, PTL limits torque both in CW and CCW rotation. It is precisely calibrated in CW rotation only. Limiting the torque in CCW rotation serves as its purpose to avoid damage to torque limiting mechanism, if PTL tool is also used to loosen the fasteners.

Warning: Never use PTL with any motorized drivers. This will result in an excessive wear of torque limiting mechanism, degradation of accuracy and may cause damage.

Depending upon availability in stock, each PTL has either a laser etched I.D. mark on its body and a separate certificate of calibration, or PTL may have an I.D./Calibration label attached directly to the PTL body without any separate certificate of calibration.

Our PTL torque tool kits consists of torque limiter, compact 4.37" long PTL ratchet drive handle with 3/8" square (M) and 1/4" hex (F) socket drive ends and 1/4" hex shank screwdriver bit. PTL has 3/8" square (F) drive input end and 1/4" hex (F) output end. Our ratchet handle is rated for up to 250 inch-lbs. and can be very quickly connected to and disconnected from the torque limiter. It can be also utilized as a general purpose ratchet driver by itself.
